Subway Assault

There was a possible bias attack on the subway in lower Manhattan Sunday involving two Hispanic women and an Asian woman. They all boarded the same car at the 86th street train station. One of the two Hispanic women leaned towards the Asian woman, screaming and shouting profanities. According to the NYPD, one of the women pulled the victim to the floor and abused her while the other made anti-Asian statements.

The two then fled the subway car at the Cathedral Parkway station. The victim is currently being treated at the St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital where she is suffering from bruising, swelling, and  pain to her head and torso as well as a concussion.

With so much activity on NYC subway platforms and trains, serious accidents are unfortunately bound to occur.
